2012 Fashion Night Out in NYC!

Calvin Klein Underwear Store

Last night, MsSpiceGrr and I along with GGVogue’s head of PR, Janette Vargas, headed to SOHO in NYC for a one night a year spectacular event like no other. Fashion Night out is a night full of celebs, booze, free goodies, contests, parties, dancing, and…crowds. If your like us, you know how packed the streets where, but that didn’t stop us from sipping champagne and wine mingling with thousands of fashionistas.

Most high-end stores like Louis Vuitton were RSVP to get in only, while others like Brandy Melville were not.

The great thing about coming early to FNO is the free stuff and celebrities you get to meet. This year, we weren’t as lucky to bump into a celeb like last year, but then again who knew FNO this year would be so crazy. Walking down streets was a nightmare this year as streets were too packed for comfort. Three years before when FNO was still a newborn, it was a pleasant event to attend with the chance of actually having a good time. Now, it seems like a huge mess of an event that is destined to be shut down.

Last year, an app was made available to pinpoint your destination and what event were occurring in real-time. This year, there wasn’t any app nor a means to RSVP for the high-top parties. It didn’t mean you would be left out without getting a drink and a good deal, it just meant you needed to be smart and quick to find the spots that still served and had sales.

We were able to nab some cute trinkets that reminded us of our favorite video game games.

I am such a jewelry nut, so finding anything that is to me video game inspired is a big deal. Check out this cute ring which screams Legend of Zelda. We love the color and texture so much so we just had to get. Plus it was a perfect fit!

I came across these earrings that reminded me of Mudkip from Pokemon. I couldn’t pass the opportunity to get them since you won’t find earrings like these anywhere else. Granted the earrings are a bit greener than Mudkip, it still has his ambiance. Love it!

If you went to FNO, show us your photos! We’d love to see them. Link them here of post it on our facebook.
