News: Support My Gimpy Life Season 2!

MGL

I had the awesome pleasure to meet Teal Sherer, the creator and star of My Gimpy Life, an online comedy series loosely based on her real life. Teal is best known as “Venom” from Felicia Day’s The GuildMy Gimpy Life centers around Teal’s awkward adventures as a disabled actress trying to navigate Hollywood in a wheelchair. I was able to meet and watch her first season at Queen’s College Center for Disability event.

Not only is the show heartwarming, but Teal’s performance is  profound and humorous; showing a side of Hollywood many are not aware of. Teal is an actress, producer and advocate for the inclusion of people with disabilities in the entertainment industry. As a strong figure among students and young adults with disabilities, she has become a beacon of hope for so many who now follow in her footsteps to denounce their disabilities that define them and become stars.
